The Rotary Club of Solon sponsored the regional tournament of Power of the Pen for middle-schoolers. It was held at Solon Middle School and many schools from two Power of the Pen districts created the regional tournament. Valerie Parillo, SMS 7th grade English teacher and Power of the Pen Coach announced the awards and Rotarian Dan Margheret and Judy Caine, President handed out the awards. As Valerie mentioned, the tournament would not have happened without The Rotary Club of Solon!
